Report: Former Governors Engler and Blanchard To Serve While Hunt for Lou Anna Simon's Replacement Proceeds
Multiple sources now say that John Engler, former Republican Governor of Michigan, has been tapped as the interim President of Michigan State University. The report, that originates from the Detroit Free Press, also says that former Democratic Governor of Michigan, James Blanchard, will serve as a senior advisor to Engler in his capacity at State.
The hunt for a permanent replacement for former Michigan State University Lou Anna Simon has begun. Simon resigned in the wake of the Larry Nassar scandal.
Engler is an MSU grad.
The official announcement is expected at a special board meeting on Wednesday morning.
