Officers Halfmann and Muller were first on scene to a massive fire last October in which ten students from China were trapped inside an Airbnb rental on Lansing's southwest side.  The pair entered and were able to bring all ten of the trapped to safety.  On Friday, they were recognized "For direct involvement in saving or prolonging a human life."  

Department celebrations continued on Saturday, as the Lansing Police Department celebrated 125 years of service to the community.
